this book of photographs
was a gift from a dear friend.
her mother took these photographs.
i feel so lucky to have a copy.

it got me thinking a lot about photography
and why i never take photos.
i spend hours a day looking at photographs
and painting from photographs....
i own a camera, but rarely use it

with my work,
i am creating paintings from two points of view
at all times....a sort of collaboration

i think photographers are my greatest teachers.....
